Splinterlands, a popular digital collectible card game, has released an extensive update aimed at enhancing the player experience through various gameplay fixes and user interface improvements. This update, which went live on March 17, 2026, includes a range of changes designed to address previously reported issues and introduce new features to the game.
The update includes several important fixes to gameplay abilities:
Players will notice that the Divine Shield ability now behaves consistently across all types of damage reduction. This ensures a more reliable experience when using Divine Shield to mitigate incoming damage. Additionally, the Spite ability has been fixed to resolve a rare issue where it would not trigger correctly under specific conditions involving Blast damage after a revive. The Determined ability now has a clarified description, indicating that it is a once-per-round ability.

Among the general updates, Splinterlands has distributed Allocation Rights for upcoming land cards. These rights allow players to claim a portion of the land supply, providing opportunities for strategic gameplay. The game also features improved leaderboards, with new options to view ranked leaderboards by ranking or rating and updated Survival Leaderboard displays that now include current rshares and bracket totals.
The card and bloodline updates are noteworthy. All Leonine bloodline cards have been updated to Feliform, reflecting changes in the game’s lore and mechanics. Additionally, the Dragonkin bloodline has been removed from the search filter as no current cards use this bloodline, streamlining the search experience for players.
A critical issue has been resolved where extra cards were not appearing when filtered. This fix ensures that players can create balanced teams more effectively and without frustration.

The user interface (UI) of Splinterlands has received significant attention with several enhancements. On desktop, the visibility of buttons such as How To Play, Challenge, and Practice has been improved, making navigation easier and more intuitive. For mobile users, the UI spacing for arcane card notifications has been cleaned up, and the duration of mobile notifications has been reduced, improving overall user experience.
Several fixes have been made to the shop and currency systems. Issues with BUSDC credit purchases over $1,000 have been addressed, ensuring that large purchases can be made seamlessly. Overlapping currency descriptions have been resolved, and Survival Bracket rewards now appear under the Survival Rewards section in the Currency Activity page, making it easier for players to track their earnings.
Account and progression fixes include resolving an issue where avatars would reset after purchasing a spellbook, ensuring that players retain their desired visual representation. Incorrect Glint estimates in Bronze after dropping from Silver have also been corrected, improving the accuracy of player progression.

Players can look forward to a new feature in the tournament system. Accounts under the same owner will now automatically draw when matched in both Swiss and Single Elimination formats, leading to recorded draws or no team submissions. This change helps maintain the integrity and fairness of the tournament structure.
Pre-release hotfixes have been introduced to address an issue preventing some older accounts from receiving Campaign rewards. This ensures that all players, regardless of account age, can benefit from the game’s rewards system.
Furthermore, changes have been made to the game client build in an effort to improve performance. Users are encouraged to report any unexpected behavior to Support to help the developers continue to refine the game’s performance.
In conclusion, this update is a testament to Splinterlands’ commitment to continuous improvement and player satisfaction. With these changes, the game offers a more polished, enjoyable, and balanced experience for all players.
