The Decentraland DAO’s governance site marked its vote to return the old DAO Committee’s money to the DAO Treasury as passed on the 2nd of November 2026. The vote had closed on the 3rd of October 2026. It won 80% of the voting power, 1,617,930 VP from 11 voters, against 396,648 VP from one voter. [1]

The poll put the money in the Committee’s two wallets at more than $1.7M. [1] On the 4th of November 2026, the wallets’ on-chain records showed it was still there. The Ethereum wallet held 552.93 ETH, 70,580.80 DAI and 63,880.63 MANA. The Polygon wallet held 1,812,370.39 MANA. [9]

Since the vote was marked as passed on the 2nd of November 2026, MANA has fallen 1.0%, from $0.07399 on the 1st to $0.07328 on the 3rd of November 2026.

More on the story

The handover behind the vote finished a month earlier. DCL Regenesis Labs posted on the 6th of October 2026 that five signers picked by the DAO Council now controlled both wallets. Any three of them can approve a transfer. Two of them sit on the DAO Council. The others come from the Security Advisory Board, the Decentraland Foundation and the community. [8]

Regenesis Labs listed the wallets’ assets as 560.41 ETH and WETH, 70,636.84 DAI and 1,876,251 MANA. It said the Council would decide what happens to them next. [8] On the 12th of October 2026, the DAO’s transparency code stopped listing the wallets as disputed. That took a “funds withheld” warning off its Transparency page. [10]

Monotributista, a DAO Council member, wrote on the forum on the 2nd of November 2026 that they were working on a proposal. It would put some of the ETH and stablecoins into the Treasury Mandate to earn yield. The Council would share it in its Discord channel once it was ready. [12] No such proposal had been posted on the DAO’s governance site or forum by the 4th of November 2026.

I’m working on a proposal to deploy some of those assets into the Treasury Mandate (ETH and stablecoins) to start earning yield, with the rest of the assets already earning there. [12]

Monotributista, DAO Council, on the Decentraland forum, the 2nd of November 2026

The Treasury Mandate is a separate DAO wallet, run with the Avantgarde team. In June 2026 the DAO moved 339 ETH and 20,000,000 MANA into it, according to Regenesis Labs. The plan sold covered calls on MANA for yield and turned part of the MANA into stablecoins. A covered call pays the DAO a fee now. In return, the DAO agrees to sell its MANA at a set price if MANA rises past it. By the end of September 2026, the calls had turned 5,000,000 MANA into 344,698.14 USDC, an average of $0.0689 per MANA. [11]
