What is the JRPG Gaming Index?
The JRPG Gaming Index (GTI-20) is a proprietary, market-cap-weighted benchmark of the top 20 crypto and web3 gaming tokens by market cap, drawn from a broader universe of 494 tokens we track across the sector, an S&P 500 for blockchain gaming. Every edition, weekly and monthly, publishes a fresh close.
How is wash trading detected?
We score each gaming token from 0 to 100 on wash-trading risk, using on-chain and market-microstructure signals: abnormal volume spikes, price/volume divergence, and volume-to-holder ratios. Each token lands in one of four buckets: minimal, some, many, or severe. Every edition re-scores the full token set, so you can watch a token's risk profile move from one report to the next. The scores are advisory, not accusations of fraud.
How is funding tracked?
JRPG logs the full spectrum of capital entering crypto gaming: venture rounds, grants, airdrops, and tournament prizes, with no minimum threshold. Each event is verified, valued in USD, and given a confidence rating. Across the 8 weekly editions published so far, we've logged $5,313,474.67 across 71 events.
How often does this report publish?
JRPG publishes two cadences from the same underlying data: a weekly edition covering the week just closed, and a monthly edition that rolls the full month into one read. Check the weekly for the fastest signal, and the monthly for the wider trend.
