Top Stories

Alien Worlds Drone Racing Tournament

Alien Worlds anchored June’s competitive calendar with a high-stakes drone racing tournament tied to the launch of Outlaw Troopers X. The event ran alongside the June 8 release of Outlaw Troopers X, a precision flying and tactical combat game built within the Alien Worlds ecosystem. A warm-up phase distributed 200,000 OLT tokens before transitioning into a 15-day tournament where players competed on daily leaderboards. The final leaderboard allocated 95,000 Trilium across competitors, while a concurrent main event offered an additional 200,000 TLM in prizes for participants. The tournament ran for 15 days to determine final leaderboard standings.

Anichess Magnus Cup Results and Reward Distribution

Anichess capped its competitive push for the month by crowning a community champion in its Magnus Cup and distributing substantial token rewards across multiple game modes. The tournament pitted amateur players against grandmasters, with EllaijioB securing the Magnus Cup title after defeating GMs Magnus Carlsen and BortnykChess to claim a 300,000 $CHECK prize. Anichess processed additional payouts throughout late June, allocating 200,000 $CHECK for CHECKmate Reign rankings, 76,000 $CHECK tied to rating milestones, and 225,000 $CHECK through Road To Magnus events.

Heimdall Arena Season 22 Launch and Nine Chronicles Collaboration

Nine Chronicles opened Season 22 of Heimdall Arena with a substantial prize pool and immediately layered in a cross-title collaboration to sustain competitive momentum. The new season launched on June 5 with a 400,000 NCG prize pool dedicated to climbing leaderboards and competing for glory. In mid-June, the studio partnered with Ragnarok Break to run a crossover event that added a Breaker Rune reward alongside the existing 400,000 NCG on the competition boards.

Ronin Network Proof of Distribution Payouts

Ronin Network’s Proof of Distribution program delivered its latest on-chain activity rewards, shifting prize distributions toward verified game engagement metrics. The payout cycle recognized Wild Forest for ranking in the top 10 during Season 1, allocating approximately 4,000 $RON to the project based on real user activity, gas spending, and ecosystem participation rather than speculative volume. Ronin structured the rewards to align token issuance with measurable platform engagement, rewarding projects that demonstrated sustained on-chain mechanics.

Wash Trading Watch

Scored 0-100

Wash trading is fake volume: the same trader on both sides of a deal, making a token look busier than it is. We score every gaming token 0-100 on how strongly its market data shows that pattern. A high score is a flag for further scrutiny, never proof of wrongdoing. More on wash trading

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the JRPG Gaming Index?

The JRPG Gaming Index (GTI-20) is a proprietary, market-cap-weighted benchmark of the top 20 crypto and web3 gaming tokens by market cap, drawn from a broader universe of 602 tokens we track across the sector, an S&P 500 for blockchain gaming. For this report month it closed at 10.68, up 2.47% month-over-month.

How is wash trading detected?

We score each gaming token from 0 to 100 on wash-trading risk, using on-chain and market-microstructure signals: abnormal volume spikes, price/volume divergence, and volume-to-holder ratios. Each token lands in one of four buckets: minimal, some, many, or severe. This month we flagged 245 tokens. The scores are advisory, not accusations of fraud.

How is funding tracked?

JRPG captures the full spectrum of capital entering crypto gaming (venture rounds, grants, airdrops, and tournament prizes), from venture rounds down to the smallest community pools: no minimum threshold, not just headline VC deals. Each event is verified, valued in USD, and given a confidence rating. This month logged $5,200,264.61 across 42 events.
