Wash Trading Watch
Scored 0-100Wash trading is fake volume: the same trader on both sides of a deal, making a token look busier than it is. We score every gaming token 0-100 on how strongly its market data shows that pattern. A high score is a flag for further scrutiny, never proof of wrongdoing. More on wash trading
gaming tokens flagged this week for elevated wash-trading risk, with 3 at the maximum severe tier.
Flags fire on volume spikes, price/volume divergence, peer anomalies and volume-to-holder ratios. Scores are advisory, not accusations. Read the methodology

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the JRPG Gaming Index?
The JRPG Gaming Index (GTI-20) is a proprietary, market-cap-weighted benchmark of the top 20 crypto and web3 gaming tokens by market cap, drawn from a broader universe of 480 tokens we track across the sector, an S&P 500 for blockchain gaming. For this report week it closed at 10.84, down 2.71% week-over-week.
How is wash trading detected?
We score each gaming token from 0 to 100 on wash-trading risk, using on-chain and market-microstructure signals: abnormal volume spikes, price/volume divergence, and volume-to-holder ratios. Each token lands in one of four buckets: minimal, some, many, or severe. This week we flagged 22 tokens. The scores are advisory, not accusations of fraud.
How is funding tracked?
JRPG captures the full spectrum of capital entering crypto gaming (venture rounds, grants, airdrops, and tournament prizes), from venture rounds down to the smallest community pools: no minimum threshold, not just headline VC deals. Each event is verified, valued in USD, and given a confidence rating. This week logged $7,422.50 across 8 events.
