Off The Grid Game Release Date Slips, and GUNZ Mainnet With It

Gunzilla now plans the GUNZ mainnet migration for Off The Grid 1.0, after missing September. Legendary Weapons slipped too, it said.

Off The Grid’s full release now has a window, between the 27th of December 2026 and the 15th of January 2027. Gunzilla Games set it in a report on the 2nd of November 2026. [1] [2] Its roadmap of the 29th of May 2026 had planned the release for October. [3] The report also says the mainnet migration, planned for September, did not ship. [1] GUNZ is the blockchain behind the GUN token. [7] The migration moves the players still on its testnet to its mainnet, which Gunzilla calls the production chain. [3] Gunzilla now plans it for the 1.0 launch.

Mainnet is a door that only opens one way, and we want to get it right.

Legendary Weapons slipped as well. They were planned for July. Gunzilla said its economy could not yet keep them rare. [1] GUNZ shared the report on X on the 4th of November 2026. [4] Since the report came out on the 2nd of November 2026, GUN has fallen 14.2%, from $0.002060 to $0.001767 on the 5th of November 2026. The wider gaming market fell 6.5% over the same days.

What the token actually does

GUN is the currency for every trade and purchase inside Off The Grid. It also pays the fees for transactions on GUNZ. [7] Players buy and sell game items on the game’s marketplace. Gunzilla rebuilt that marketplace in its update of the 27th of August 2026. It said GUN spent on purchases rose 51% after the change. [1]

Journalists

eGamers, a news site that covers blockchain games, wrote up the report on the 5th of November 2026. [8]

It also confirms the switch from testnet to GUNZ mainnet won’t come before launch.

Two days earlier, on the 3rd of November 2026, the same site set the holiday release against the game’s older plans. [9]

This isn’t the first delay. Off The Grid was first meant to come out in 2023.

More on the story

The migration is about where players’ items are kept. Gunzilla’s roadmap said that after it, every active user and every newly made item would be on the production chain. [3]

On the 12th of June 2025, GUNZ said 21,000 early players were on mainnet, out of 16.8 million player wallets. Off The Grid ran on what Gunzilla called its “crypto bank”, which held players’ tokens and items for them. It said a licence from the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority would let Gunzilla bring in the rest of the players. It expected that licence “in the coming weeks”. [10]

On the 7th of August 2026, eGamers reported that the move had also reached players in the EU who play on PC. That followed GUN’s approval under the EU’s crypto rules, known as MiCAR, in late August 2025. It said Gunzilla was still seeking its Cayman licence. [11] There is no information yet on whether the licence has been granted.

Gunzilla said that at 1.0, everything players own would move with them, serial numbers included. It also planned its biggest marketing push yet, to bring in new players. [1]

A third item missed too. A map expansion with new areas was planned for October. Gunzilla said it put that work into Teardrop, the game’s island map, instead. In all, it said it shipped 11 of the 14 items on its roadmap, two of them only in part. [1]
