Ronin Waypoint Migration Ends October 31

Ronin Waypoint is set to shut at 15:00 UTC on Saturday, the 31st of October 2026. Ronin said the migration out of it would then be complete. ^[1] It told users who still hold assets in Waypoint to move them to Ronin Stash before then. ^[2] Waypoint is the login Ronin has offered since 2024 for people who sign in with email or a social account, with no seed phrase. Users who do not migrate will lose access to their account, it warned. ^[3] Wallets run on a seed phrase or a hardware device need no action. ^[1]

The last deadline to move assets passed on the 16th of October 2026. ^[3] Since then, a grace period has given users who reported problems time to sort them out. ^[1] Axie Infinity counted down to the shutdown on the 26th of October 2026, with a link to its own migration page. ^[4]

Since the deadline passed, RON has fallen 14.6%, from $0.06408 on the 15th of October 2026 to $0.05475 on the 27th of October 2026. The wider gaming market fell 7.7% over the same days.

What the token actually does

RON is the ecosystem token for the Ronin chain.

Every transaction on Ronin needs a gas fee, and RON pays for transactions across the network. Part of each gas fee goes to the Ronin Treasury, which RON holders govern. ^[8] Moving assets out of Waypoint costs gas too. The migration screen shown in Axie Infinity’s post moves RON last, so there is RON left to pay the fees. ^[4] RON’s linked games include The Beacon, Cambria and Axie Infinity.

Performance

In the three months to the 27th of October 2026, RON rose 11.4%. The wider gaming market fell 12.5% over the same three months.

• On the 27th of October 2026, the token rose 2.2%. The wider gaming market rose 0.9%.
• That day it ranked 68th of the 215 gaming tokens that gained.
• It trades 99% below its all-time high, set in March 2024. The wider gaming market is down 95% from its own.

Ronin offers two ways out. Ronin Stash is its new login with no seed phrase, built on a service called Privy. The migration page creates a Stash address and moves the chosen assets to it. The other way is to send each asset to a Ronin Wallet secured by a seed phrase. Ronin said assets in Stash might not yet work in some apps, until those apps add support for it. ^[9]

Players with bAXS or badges have one more step. Their bAXS and badges move on a separate page in App.axie, to a seed phrase wallet linked to the Axie account. Axie Infinity said this step can be done only once. After signing, the badges move to the linked wallet for good. It also said assets left in a Waypoint wallet may become inaccessible. ^[10]

Ronin announced the change on the 16th of June 2026 and first gave users 90 days. It said keeping the old system running indefinitely would raise costs and split the network. It warned then that assets not moved before the deadline would be lost forever. Ronin extended the deadline on the 18th of August 2026. ^[9] It said it sent reminders on X and by email between June and September. ^[3]

Ronin asked users who hit a problem during the move to file a ticket with Ronin Support. The ticket should carry the wallet address and a screenshot or transaction hash. Problems with in-game progress or soulbound items go to each game’s own team. ^[1] There is no information yet on how many accounts still hold assets in Waypoint.
