Terrariums V1.2 rewards players for rare Axies and combining land into Estates
Axie Infinity: Terrariums claims version 1.2 will launch on August 19th at 3 PM PHT, supposedly adding Multi-Collectible Parts, Axie Evolution Benefits, and a Terrariums Estate Boost feature to increase Atia’s Flame [1]. The studio also recently touted that higher-rarity collectible Axies provide the largest Flame boost, encouraging players to equip their rarest Axies first [2]. V1.2 is said to build on these mechanics by rewarding players for owning multiple desirable parts on a single Axie and combining Land plots into Estates though whether that actually works as promised is another question.

Here’s a look at the art direction in Axie Infinity: Terrariums. The isometric 2D cartoon look gives everything a soft, hand-drawn feel. The tile-based maps pack in rounded trees, dirt paths, and little ponds. They all sit together naturally. Scattered around the town are small Axie creatures. They have simple curved bodies and playful markings. The main buildings-Town Hall, Axie Lodge, and Dojo-use stylized roofs and trim so each one reads clearly at a glance. The same layout shifts from green forest to warm savannah tones to a dim dusk overlay. It keeps the bright, fanciful mood but changes the whole atmosphere. This is art direction that stays crisp and readable, with enough charm in the details to reward a slow look around.
Dirt trails, ornate rooftops, and playful creatures brighten each scene.

Let’s check out how the Axie Infinity: Terrariums community feels. Some commenters describe Terrariums as a scam that only benefits whales, while others note it’s too expensive and not fun to play [3]. A few players say the game is free to play, but the community is split on whether that alone makes it worth their time [4]. Many fans think the previous land game Homeland was much better and that Terrariums is a disappointing step backward for land owners [5].
We found a large number of comments show suspected shill or spam patterns. These include repetitive questions about gameplay, investment details, and requests for donations or referrals. There were also some generic praise and link drops. [6]

Here’s how the token has been moving. Axie Infinity was totally sliding while other gaming tokens were moving up. It just couldn’t keep up. Even around the announcement, it stayed stuck in the sluggish lane.

Let’s leave the token talk behind and look at what the team is actually promising. The big new thing is Multi-Valuable Parts & Axie Evolution Benefits. Basically, if you’ve got an Axie with several coveted parts, it’s supposedly gonna get more love. And evolving those Axies? Also rewarded. The remaining major piece is the Terrariums Estate Boost. You can group adjacent Land plots into an Estate, as long as they’re in the identical environment. Bigger Estate equals a greater Atia’s Flame boost. Which sounds cool but the whole thing is a bit sus when you look at the fine print. Some people in the replies aren’t thrilled.
One commenter called it “the worst incentive ever” because it only works for connected plots. Another said “literally like four people are about to earn all the bAXS”. Ouch.
On the YouTube side, reactions are pretty divided. Some Spanish-speaking players are calling it a scam, saying Homeland was superior and Terrariums keeps making them earn less. Others are just asking if you can play for complimentary (spoiler: you need a Land NFT). But hey, the official team is hyped, saying V1.2 is “another step toward making the things you’ve collected” matter more. We’ll see how it shakes out when the update goes live. Either way, Atia’s Flame is about to get a entire lot toastier.
